You want to move melee units out of range / save them other ways (heals, staff of teleport, etc.) while trying to use them to block enemy units from getting to your guys. The big thing is, like I said, don't let your units die. Have you played Dota2/League at all? There are a lot of things that you want to be doing from those games in this game, except you may have multiple heroes. Well LAN play is a little different from online play, there are some things you can do on LAN that's not really possible on b.net What are the rules for expanding and how is the game paced? I suspect it's A LOT different than Starcraft 2, which I used to play a lot. Oh and by the way I don't really know what my favored race is yet, sorry.
